BATTLE OF THE BEARS IS BACK!

Get ready for Battle of the Bears, Battlefield Elementary’s biggest and most exciting fundraiser of the year! This year, our BES Bears are setting our sights on a BIG $18,000 school-wide goal!

WHAT IS THE BATTLE OF THE BEARS?

The Battle of the Bears is a fun, school-wide event where students will run laps on the LFO track while raising money to support our school. Each grade level will have its own designated time to participate on Friday, October 9th.

And the best part? We keep 100% of the money raised! Unlike many traditional fundraisers that require students to sell products and share the profits with a company, every dollar donated goes directly back to Battlefield Elementary to support our students, classrooms, and school programs.

But Battle of the Bears is about more than fundraising! Beginning Friday, September 25th, students will participate in daily character lessons focused on traits such as bravery, accountability, empathy, resilience, and sportsmanship. Students will learn what each character trait means and, most importantly, how they can put it into action at school, at home, and in their community.

Students will also have opportunities to earn exciting prizes throughout the event for their participation and fundraising efforts!

HOW DO STUDENTS COLLECT DONATIONS?

Students will collect flat-rate donations from family and friends to support their participation in the Battle of the Bears run.

Sharing is easy! Students can use the QR code provided to share the fundraiser with family and friends. When donors scan the QR code, they can quickly and easily make an online donation to support that student.

IMPORTANT!

For your student to receive credit for their donation, donors MUST include:

• Student's First and Last Name
• Student's Homeroom Teacher

Please remember that donations are a FLAT AMOUNT—not an amount per lap.

Friday, October 9th is the LAST DAY for donations to count toward student and grade-level prizes.

OUR $18,000 GOAL

Last year, our BES Bears showed just how much we can accomplish when we work together! We set a school-wide goal of $15,000 and reached it on the very last day of the fundraiser. To celebrate, students got to watch Dr. McCrary and Mrs. Stallings get SLIMED!

This year, we're raising the bar and setting our goal at $18,000!

And if our Bears reach that goal, we're hoping to make the celebration even sweeter...

Someone at BES may become a HUMAN ICE CREAM SUNDAE! 

Will it be Ms. Bailey, Mr. Womack, Mrs. Stallings, or someone else? We're not telling just yet—and we're still working on convincing one of them to take the plunge!
