Get ready for Battle of the Bears, Battlefield Elementary’s biggest and most exciting fundraiser of the year! Beginning Friday, September 25th, students will have the opportunity to collect sponsors who will make a flat donation in support of their participation in Battle of the Bears.
The fun will culminate on Friday, October 9th, when our Bears head to LFO High School to run laps and show off their school spirit! Each grade level will have its own designated time to participate.
But Battle of the Bears is about more than fundraising! Each day, students will participate in a character lesson focused on a different character trait and learn how they can put that trait into action at school, at home, and in their community. Students will also have opportunities to earn exciting prizes throughout the event for their participation and fundraising efforts.
Last year, our BES Bears showed just how powerful we can be when we work together! We set a school-wide goal of $15,000 and reached it on the very last day of the fundraiser. To celebrate, students got to watch Dr. McCrary and Mrs. Stallings get SLIMED!
This year, we're raising the bar with a BIG $18,000 school-wide goal! And if our Bears reach it, we're hoping to make the celebration even sweeter...
Someone at BES may become a HUMAN ICE CREAM SUNDAE!
Will it be Ms. Bailey, Mr. Womack, Mrs. Wolfe, Mrs. Stallings, or someone else? We can't tell you yet—and we're still working on getting one of them to volunteer for the job! 😉 But if our Bears reach $18,000, we'll see just how much fun we can have!
So get ready to show great character, get moving, have fun, earn prizes, and Battle for the Bears! We can't wait to see what our BES Bears can accomplish together!
