9/20 Battlefield Elementary Bear Necessities

We had another great week at Battlefield! We started the week with Fall Pictures and ended it with our Half-Day and House Huddles. We love spending this time with our Bears! House Huddles give our faculty and staff a chance to get to know students outside of the classroom, have some fun together, and continue building those positive relationships that make Battlefield such a special place.

Congratulations to Falconcrest for winning the Donuts & Dance Party! We loved celebrating with you!

We are looking forward to another great week of learning, growing, and making memories with our Bears!

Parents, we need your help! Squishies, NeeDoh, slime, and similar items are toys and should be left at home. Over the past few weeks, we have had several situations where these items have busted, made a mess, or caused conflict between students.

Just like other toys, these items can become a distraction during the school day. Please help us by checking backpacks and reminding your child to leave them at home.

As we get settled into the school year, we want to remind families that our school day begins promptly at 7:50 a.m.

If your child plans to eat breakfast at school, please make every effort to have them arrive by 7:30 a.m. This gives students plenty of time to eat breakfast, get to class, and be ready for the day before instruction begins.

In the next few weeks, we will also begin our morning Reading Clubs. Students will switch to different classrooms for these groups beginning at 7:50. When students arrive close to 7:50 and still need to eat breakfast, they may miss valuable time with their Reading Club.

Breakfast at school? Aim for 7:30! This small adjustment will help your child start the day fed, settled, and ready to learn.
